Castello Santa Caterina on Favignana Island today stands as a historic castle, or more of an abandoned fortress in somewhat of a deteriorating state. Originally built as a Saracen Watchtower (an Arab or Muslim, especially at the time of the Crusades) around 500 or 600 it was enlarged into a castle at a date suspected around the eleventh century. It’s dungeon once housed political prisoners. Walking through the Castello Santa Caterina is like stepping back into a war-torn abounded structure. The debris filled rooms have molding stucco falling to the ground, rusted generators, iron post beds, Military barrels, ceramic toilets and baths. On top of the fortress, we saw a rusted old satellite blown over that looked like the wind had beaten it badly.
I got to experience Zip Lining Cancun Mexico at Selvatica Cancun Adventure during a group vacation in March 2013. I could only rally up two other friends to join me because the others from the group had either already been Zip-Lining or had no desire to fly above the trees in the jungle like monkeys on cables. The part that keeps us laughing today is that My girlfriend who I coerced to join last minute was dressed for a day at the pool, not for outdoor adventure. She went Zip Lining in Wedge Heels! Rock-On Amiga – My Fashionista Adventurista!!! A great day trip into the Mexican Jungle, I was most impressed swimming in the Cenote and being entertained by the Fabulous Crew at Selvatica Cancun.
Best Places to Dine and Party like a VIP on vacation in St Tropez France.
Just back from a 3-day trip to St Tropez, a week later! There was too much fun to be had to leave after only 3 days. Each day after spending a beautiful afternoon strolling the quaint narrow streets or relaxing at a VIP beach bar we would call the hotel, “Is it possible that we can extend our stay for one more night?”
“Oui Oui Madam! But of Course!” …only because it is May, early in the season. Next day same beach buzz, same story… by the third day the front desk was calling to ask, “One more night madam?”
Le Club 55 St Tropez is the best place to dine in during a visit to the Ramatuelle Beachesfor a fabulous leisurely lunch. Pronounced “Club Cinquante-cinq”, this beach-front restaurant is natural laid-back luxury at its finest. Le Club 55 St Tropez features cozy dining tables placed right underneath the natural sea canopy of sea-trees intertwined with white canvas sunshades. Nothing seems out-of-place, all in perfect harmony with the Mediterranean Seascape. Your are welcomed by a wooden plank walkway that glides on top of the sand bordered by towering greenery from the trees. Chic Beach-themed place-settings and blue table clothes adorn the tables. After lunch, there is lounge seating by the bar with beach views. Feel free to bring your dog, they even offer a less elegant “Dog Bar.” Le Club 55 St Tropez is by far the best lunch spot along the Ramatuelle beaches for a long leisurely laid-back dining experience.
Looking for the Best Hookah bar lounge St Tropez? Au Petit Bar or Le Petit Bar has the most fantastic Bartenders, Elsa & Bruno who work magic in the already magical very petit lounge! The style of this bar lounge is very disco retro, & I believe it has looked like this for quite a while. Stop in the bar and lounge while you enjoy some champagne, a hookah, and laughs with friends. Le Petit Bar is a “Must!” when in Saint-Tropez. We came to this tiny little lounge almost nightly because our friend has come here for over 20 years, changed owners many times but it’s still got the Original Disco Feel! A great place to chill and hang with the St Tropez locals.
